Another plug

Until I get comments asking me to stop (which, coincidentally, would imply that someone is reading this blog), I will be plugging, shamelessly, things that I think are important, or if nothing important can be found, then things that are just plain cool. HERE, go to Kiva. http://kiva.org/invitedby/joseph61141533
If you use that link it'll let Kiva know that I sent you- I won't get anything for it, they'll just put it in their database that references/links actually work.

I've only done 3 loans. the average Kiva user has made more than 7 loans. You don't have to do much, it's a minimum $25 loan. The cool thing is, you can withdraw your money any time you want, but you can also relend the money to another group, or even use some of a repaid loan to supplement another loan you want to make.

Yeah. So Joesgoes hasn't really gone anywhere, besides the 70 miles from Home to home, and 70 miles from Home to girlfriend's home. Yeah, that's about it. Go to Kiva, help someone out.

Home again

School is getting more hectic every new assignment. Irrigating baseball fields, writing RFQs and RFPs, and coming home to get enough sleep to do it again tomorrow.
Anybody have similar situations? Life is good, I'm just enjoying every second of down time I have.
Peace

Location: Home

Sometimes the best place to travel is your own bed. Sometimes the best stranger to meet is the one you've known the longest. Sometimes the warmest hand to hold is the one that is miles away.

I'm glad for nights like this. Not because I don't want to be with my girl, but because technology lets us share each others' lives.

And I got to play with legos at home. Good Day, Good night.

Shameless plugs

Since I'm the one who gets to write words here, I figured it couldn't hurt to put shameless plugs in.
First one's for my beau's website: http://hybridscribe.com/
She's pretty much the sweetest: Tech saavy, as well as a whiz in things grammatical.

Beginnings

One of my professors likes to say that "above all else, (he values) beginnings".

I suck at beginnings, so I'll make this quick, and do my best to make the follow-ups more valuable.

I'm starting this blog as a way to document a portion of my censored life. Hopefully I'll make it a habit to include snippets, visuals, and photos pertaining to the craziness that is my life.

I decided to name it "Joe's Goes" because

1) Potential catchiness/rhyme
2) I hope to include any and all travel. Pictures would be a larger necessity in this aspect, for the sake of any/all readers.

I guess this isn't the worst first impression I've ever made.

A little about me (I'm only going to say this once):

I'm a student in Landscape Architecture, currently studying in the oldest program for a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture. That would be Michigan State University.

Anybody who knows me will learn quickly that I am not a sports fan. I enjoy playing sports, and I enjoy watching sports to a certain point. When it comes to Universities that sell themselves to culture in order to make a quick buck or two, I prefer to separate the athletics from the academics in my head. I'm persistent in this fact, that I see sports in universities as an unnecessary distraction, when we already have enough.

I would be much more willing to give organized sports a chance if major universities would be willing to give full-ride scholarships to video-game buffs, or even internet artisans (webcartoonists, vloggers, bloggers, and the like).

I apologize if/that this will read in an extremely stream-of-consciousness way.
Maybe some people will like that.
My goal is not to have amazing readership or make crillions of dollars: my goal is to practice and perfect expression, specifically that of myself.
Secondary to that, this blog will be a vent for me: I sincerely hope that I don't offend or injure anyone by my language/meanings.

I am a twenty-two year old dude, I've grown up around all sorts of Christians, and am still meeting new types, all sorts of crazies: I love God, and I sincerely hope that my "actions" on this blog will not just be cheesy/preachy.
My desire is to share my life with this culture, maybe make a difference in someone's life, but predominantly I want to be what I am, not ashamed of it, and find ways to share the reasons behind a christian's hope.

I'm assuming that the readership will not be entirely christian/churched/religious/conservative/anything in particular.

The only thing I assume of anybody who reads this, is that you're looking for something.
I just hope I can help point you in the right direction.

Joe
